CSA G40.21 Grade 50W Tube is a high-strength, low-alloy structural steel tubing that conforms to the CSA G40.21 Grade 50W standard. This tubing is designed to provide excellent mechanical properties and enhanced resistance to atmospheric corrosion in a variety of structural applications.
According to the CSA G40.21 Grade 50W standard, the chemical composition of this tubing includes a maximum of 0.23% carbon, 0.5-1.5% manganese, a maximum of 0.04% phosphorus, and a maximum of 0.05% sulfur. This tubing also contains small amounts of copper, nickel, and chromium to enhance corrosion resistance.
Regarding mechanical properties, CSA G40.21 Grade 50W Tube has a minimum yield strength of 50 ksi (345 MPa) and a minimum tensile strength of 65 ksi (450 MPa). This tubing also has a minimum elongation of 21% and a minimum area reduction of 17%.
