According to the A572 Grade 50 specification, the chemical composition of this steel grade includes carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, and copper. The maximum carbon content is 0.23%, while the maximum manganese content is 1.35%. The phosphorus content is limited to a maximum of 0.04%, and the sulfur content is limited to a maximum of 0.05%. The silicon and copper content can range from 0.15% to 0.40% and 0.2% to 0.6%, respectively.
