The steel strand is a steel product composed of multiple steel wires twisted. The surface of the carbon steel can be added with galvanized layer, zinc-aluminum alloy layer, aluminum clad layer, copper-plated layer, and epoxy-coated layer as required.

(1) Classification according to usage

Prestressed steel strands, (for electric power) galvanized steel strands, and stainless steel strands, among which the prestressed steel strands are coated with anti-corrosion grease or paraffin and then covered with HDPE, which is called unbonded steel strands (unbonded steel strands), Prestressed steel strands are also made of galvanized or galvanized aluminum alloy steel wire.

(3) Classification according to structure
