Aluminum-zinc-magnesium plating is an alloy coating in coated steel products. The mass fraction of metal elements in the coating is 53% aluminum, 43% zinc, 2% magnesium, 1.5% silicon, and other elements.

Zinc-aluminum-magnesium has the self-healing ability of the incision section of the coating. During the use of the zinc-aluminum-magnesium material, the coating near the incision or scratch position gradually forms a dense protective film composed of zinc hydroxide, alkaline zinc chloride, and magnesium hydroxide. (That is, white rust) has good adhesion, high density, and low electrical properties. It can effectively separate the external corrosive medium from the bare metal substrate, thereby preventing further corrosion of the exposed cut, and has an inhibitory effect on the corrosion of the cut and scratched positions. At present, the incision and surface neutral salt spray test of zinc, aluminum, and magnesium materials have reached 4440 hours without red rust.
