Two Ways Of Welding Of High Frequency Welded Pipe

There are two ways of welding for high frequency welded pipe: contact welding and induction welding.
Because a pair of copper electrodes are in direct contact with the two sides of the welded steel pipe, the induced current has good penetration, and the two effects of high-frequency current are maximized due to the direct contact between the copper electrodes and the steel plate, so contact welding has a higher welding efficiency. It has higher and lower power consumption and is widely used in high-speed and low-precision pipe manufacturing. In the production of particularly thick steel pipes, contact welding of high frequency welded pipe is generally required.
However, there are two disadvantages in contact welding of high frequency welded pipe:
First, the copper electrode is in contact with the steel plate and wears quickly;
Second, the current stability of contact welding is poor due to the influence of the flatness of the surface of the steel plate and the straightness of the edge, and the internal and external burrs of the weld are relatively high, so it is generally not used when welding high-precision and thin-walled pipes.
High frequency welded pipe induction welding involves wrapping one or more turns of induction coils around the welded steel pipe. Multi-turn induction coils have a better effect than single-turn induction coils, but they are more difficult to manufacture and install. When the distance between the induction coil and the surface of the steel pipe is small, the efficiency is higher, but discharge between the induction coil and the pipe is easy. In general, the gap between the induction coil and the surface of the steel pipe should be kept at 58 mm.
When induction welding of high frequency welded pipe is used, there is no wear because the induction coil is not in contact with the steel plate, and the induced current is relatively stable, ensuring welding stability. During welding, the surface quality of the steel pipe is good, and the weld seam is flat. Induction welding is commonly used when precision pipes are used.
Precautions for debugging and daily maintenance of welded pipe unit
In general, the welded pipe unit formulation must adhere to the safety operation rules. To avoid improper operation, the operator must avoid making contact with the mold while operating the unit, and he must also place his hands in the direction of the pipe.
Furthermore, before operating the welded pipe unit, the operator should ensure that the unit's lubrication points are properly lubricated. Otherwise, they should add some lubricating oil to ensure the unit's normal operation and function.
To avoid damage to the welded pipe unit, use some high temperature resistant synthetic composite aluminum-based grease while using the welded pipe unit.
