ASTM A500 Pipe is a standard specification for cold-formed welded and seamless carbon steel square and rectangular tubes. This standard was developed by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) to provide a uniform set of requirements for structural steel pipe.
ASTM A500 pipe is produced using a cold forming process, which means the steel is plastically deformed at low temperatures (room temperature or slightly higher).
