The definition of c purlin roofing:
Roof purlins, also known as purlins and purlins, are horizontal roof beams that run perpendicular to the roof trusses or rafters and are used to support the rafters or roofing materials. Purlins are transverse bending (usually two-way bending) members that are typically designed as single-span simply supported Purlins. Purlins that are commonly used are solid web type and light steel truss type.

Structure requirements of c purlin roofing:
1. As much as possible, the purlins on the roof truss should be arranged at the upper chord node to reduce the inter-node bending moment. The purlin's cross-section should be as parallel to the roof slope as possible. To minimize the torque caused by the eccentric roof load, the tip or edge of the upper flange of angle steel, channel steel, and z-shaped steel purlin should face the direction of the roof ridge.
2. The upper chord section of the truss-type purlin must be perpendicular to the upper chord of the roof truss, and the web plane must be perpendicular to the horizontal plane. The double-purlin scheme should be used for the solid-web purlin at the roof ridge, and the single-purlin scheme for the truss-type purlin can save steel.
3. The purlins and roof panels should be securely connected so that the roof can prevent lateral instability and purlin torsion. Purlin support connects the solid web purlin to the roof truss and rigid frame to prevent torsion deformation and overturning at the support. Two bolts should connect the purlin and purlin support. When the purlin section is tall, it should be installed parallel to the height direction.
4. To maintain stability in plane truss and solid web purlins with poor lateral rigidity, braces should be set between the purlins as lateral support points. When the purlin span is 4-6m and the roof slope is slightly higher, one brace can be installed for purlins with a smaller load and purlin distance; two braces can be installed for purlins with a larger load, purlin distance, or span greater than 6m. The bars are typically made of round steel with a diameter ranging from 8 to 12 inches. Braces are not required when the profiled steel plate roof is reliably connected to the purlins and there are measures in place to ensure the lateral stability of the purlins during installation.
5. Truss-type purlins generally use the eccentric node method for structural reasons. Because the internal force of the purlins is small, calculating the strength of the joint welds is generally unnecessary, but it is determined according to structural requirements.
