Zinc-Aluminum-Magnesium Alloy Coated Steel's Damage Resistance And Solderability

Damage resistance

The material surface hardness of zinc-aluminum-magnesium steel is HV>=120, and the surface hardness of hot-dip galvanizing is 55~65HV. Since zinc-aluminum-magnesium steel is harder than other hot-dip galvanized steel sheets and hot-dip galvanized-aluminum alloy steel sheets, it has more excellent performance. Excellent scratch resistance, suitable for parts that are prone to scratches or repeatedly subjected to friction or wear during processing.

You can refer to the following measurement method of scratch load:

Put a sapphire test needle with a tip radius of 0.05mm vertically to the test site, press down with a load adjusted to 0.0196 to 0.196N (2 - 20gf), and move the test site 20mm at the same time. After that, visually observe whether scratches occur on the test site, and use the smallest load among the loads where scratches occur as the scratch resistance load.

Solderability

When welding the circumference of components, the welding process verification should be carried out first to avoid welding cracks, and the corrosion resistance test should be carried out on the welded repair parts.

For adhesion <= 275g/m2, CO2 or 80% argon + 20% CO2 gas-shielded welding is recommended for arc welding; the welding process is set according to plate thickness, and welding is not recommended for adhesion > 275g/m2.
