The Difference Between Sheet Steel And Strip Steel
Leave a message
The steel strip and steel sheet are the main raw materials for the production of our rectangular and square hollow section steel pipes. For the manufacturing of rectangular and square hollow section steel pipes, it depends on the pipe manufacturing process. For the spiral welded pipes, uncoiling, leveling, trimming, forming, and welding are used. For straight seam welded pipes (rectangular and square hollow section steel pipes), it must be applied the plate being formed and welded. If the steel sheet is used, it must be uncoiled, leveled and cut into a single steel plate for use. The steel sheet generally refers to a steel strip with a width of not less than 600mm. Generally, it can be flat cut into steel plate or slit steel strip. In the standard, it is generally put together with steel plate, such as: carbon structural steel and low-alloy structural steel steel plate and steel strip . The steel strip generally has the width of less than 600mm.
The steel sheet is a thin steel plate with a thickness of no more than 6 mm, usually less than 3 mm, but because of its wide width, it must be rolled by a large rolling mill. The width of the steel strip is not more than 0.2 meters; the rolling mill used is small, of course, the price of the steel sheet is more expensive than the steel strip when the same material with the same thickness.
