Effects Of Ten Chemical Elements On The Performance Of Square Tubes

(1)N

In addition to being added during steelmaking, N can also be nitrided after decarburization to increase the inhibitory amount and make the secondary recrystallization more complete. N is also a harmful element that will cause magnetic aging of the product after the secondary recrystallization is completed, and needs to be purified and removed.

(2)Si

Si has no inhibitory effect, but adding silicon can significantly increase the resistivity of steel, reduce eddy current loss, and increase magnetic permeability. The increase in Si content will also increase the brittleness of carbon steel square tube plates, making production more difficult.

(3) Sn

Sn can increase the inhibitory effect. The increase in Sn content can increase the magnetic induction and reduce the iron loss.

(4)Cr

Cr can refine the secondary grains, thereby improving the magnetic induction of the square tube and reducing iron loss.

(5) Sn

Sn can increase the precipitation of sulfide as an inhibitor, strengthen the inhibitory force, stabilize magnetism, and improve the quality of the glass film.

(6) S

S remains in the finished product and is harmful to magnetism. Therefore, it is necessary to decompose the MnS particles during the high-temperature annealing and heat preservation stage in a pure hydrogen atmosphere, allowing the sulfur to diffuse and volatilize, thereby purifying the steel.

(7)Cu

Cu can precipitate a large amount of Cu2S and improve the inhibition ability. The oxide layer on the surface of the steel plate contains CuO, which will reduce the decarburization efficiency. Therefore, the oxide layer on the surface of the welding galvanized steel tubing must be completely removed chemically or mechanically before cold rolling.

(8)C

In multi-element inhibitors, increasing the C content can increase the magnetic induction and reduce iron loss. However, if the C content of the finished square tube is too high, magnetic aging will occur.

(9)P

P can make the inhibitor particles smaller and more evenly distributed, and improve the magnetism. However, too much P will reduce the cold brittleness of the plate and increase the difficulty of cold rolling, so it should be appropriate.

(10) Ni

Ni can stabilize secondary recrystallization, improve the magnetic induction of square and rectangular tubes, and reduce iron loss. Adding Ni can also make up for the problem of decreased magnetic induction caused by increased silicon content.
