To avoid the upper and lower columns looking hi-lo, make the center lines of the upper and lower columns coincide as much as possible.
The positioning axis of each section of the steel column is not permitted to use the positioning axis of the lower section of the steel column; instead, the ground control line should lead to the upper, ensuring that each section of the steel column is installed correctly and avoiding too large error accumulation.
Correction for the column verticality of the second section
The pre-inspection of the related size of the steel column is the key point of the correction for steel column verticality.
Steel column elevation adjustment
Following the installation of each section of the steel column, an elevation measurement to the top of the column should be taken. If the error is too large for adjustment, it is possible to adjust a part first and then wait until the next time to adjust. Because the self-weight of a steel frame structure increases continuously, the middle frame column should be slightly higher. Because the middle column bears more structure load, foundation settlement is also greater.
Standard column installation
To ensure the overall precision of steel structure installation, select a standard frame structure on each layer, then proceed with installation outward in turn.
Correction for standard column verticality: two theodolites track, observe, and measure the installation of steel columns and steel beams. The correction of steel column verticality can be divided into two steps.
A. Wind rope without cable correction. Place a steel wedge or hoisting jack on the oblique side of the steel column.
B. Attach the beam of the standard frame beam body. First, install the upper beam, followed by the middle and lower beams. The installation process will have an impact on the column verticality; it is possible to use wire rope cable (suitable only for cross inner column), jack, steel wedge, and NRK hyacinth, while other frameworks proceed according to the standard frame to the surrounding, following the same procedure as described above.
