Hot rolled coil, also known as hot strip coil, is a type of steel product that is produced through the hot rolling process. Hot-rolled coils are widely used in various industries, including construction, automotive, and manufacturing, due to their excellent mechanical properties and versatility.  

In terms of the standard specifications for hot rolled coils, the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) sets the guidelines for the chemical composition, mechanical properties, and tolerances. According to ASTM A36, a commonly used specification for hot rolled coils, the carbon content should not exceed 0.25%, while the manganese content should range from 0.80% to 1.20%. The phosphorus content should be limited to 0.04%, and the sulfur content should not exceed 0.05%. 

Hot steel coil also has excellent mechanical properties, such as high tensile strength, good ductility, and toughness. The yield strength of hot rolled coils can range from 250 MPa to 550 MPa, while the tensile strength can range from 400 MPa to 700 MPa.

Steel coil roll has a wide range of applications, including structural and general-purpose applications, such as construction beams, columns, and channels. They are also used in the manufacturing of automobile frames, pipes, and tubes, as well as in the production of various household appliances, such as refrigerators and washing machines.
