What Is The Commonly Used Edge Treatment Method For Welded Pipe Equipment?

1. Edge trimming method: At the time, disc trimming was a popular edge treatment procedure for spiral welded pipes. The benefits of this technology include a basic welded pipe equipment structure, easy adjustment, and little investment; the long life of the scissors; and a large or small shearing capacity. Long tool change time; poor sheared plate edge precision; when the adjustment is poor, it is clear to see that the width of the upper and bottom surfaces of the steel plate is varied, affecting the quality of forming and welding. It is commonly utilized in the manufacture of thin-walled steel pipes.
2. Edge planing method: This welded pipe equipment method is typically used for welding groove processing prior to the selection of thicker strip steel pipes, typically after edge trimming, in order to provide better precision plate edges and grooves. There are also ones who plan the edge without cutting it and require many planers to work simultaneously. The advantages of this method are as follows: the plate's edge precision is high, the welding speed of the thick plate can be increased, and the welding quality can be improved; tool change is simple, and the tool can be changed without parking. The disadvantages are as follows: the demand for steel plate control is high; the planer's life is limited; the welded pipe equipment is more complicated, and the operation is difficult when the plate width changes dramatically.
3. Edge milling method: This is an automatic cutting procedure used for board edges. The edge of the plate can be processed into three distinct welding groove shapes, I type, Y type, and X type, depending on the needs of welding talents. The advantages of this method are as follows: the shape of the milled groove is accurate and uniform, which facilitates the forming and welding of thick plates; some crescent bends can be eliminated; plate edge precision is high, and tool change is simple. The disadvantages are as follows: the structure of the welded pipe equipment is complicated and expensive; it must be parked when changing tools, and there is vibration and noise.
