What Are Steel Pipe Piles?
Leave a message
Construction workers usually use steel pipe piles to block seawater during the construction of offshore wharves, so what are steel pipe piles?
1. What are steel pipe piles?
Steel pipe piles are products made of steel pipes, mortise grooves, and tenon pins. Steel pipe piles overlap each other to form arcs and circles. They can be used to surround water and sand. Steel pipe piles have the advantages of simple structure, convenient use, good sealing, high strength, and good elasticity. Steel pipe piles have various sizes and specifications, the outer diameter is generally 50-120cm and the wall thickness is mostly 1-1.8cm.
2. How to construct steel pipe piles?
1. You can transport materials in batches according to the construction progress of the steel piles. During the transportation and stacking process, the steel piles may be deformed due to collisions. Therefore, we need to inspect the steel piles before the official construction. If the paint film of the pile is damaged, we can paint the corresponding anti-corrosion paint, etc. If the steel pile is deformed, you need to use a machine to straighten the pillar, etc.
2. Before installing the steel piles, we need to locate the steel pipe piles at the grassroots level according to the design drawings, determine the installation position of the steel pipe piles, and use a level to determine the elevation of the steel pipe piles. When installing, we first use the crane ship to insert the steel pipe pile into the base covering layer and then use the pile sinker to sink the steel pipe pile to the specified position. After the steel pipe piles are installed one by one, we need to check whether the height of the steel pipe piles is consistent and so on.
3. After the steel pipe piles are placed, we will install the steel pipe pile platform. You can weld the I-beam beam at the head of the steel pipe pile, and then we will prepare the c15 concrete mortar, set up formwork at the pile head, pour the concrete mortar into the formwork and vibrate it well. After the concrete mortar is cured, we install longitudinal beams on the pile heads, etc., and install thick steel plates on the beams.
