Total Investment in Steel Projects Started in China Exceeded 4 Trillion in April, A Year-on-year Increase Of 43%

According to statistical data, a total of 11,097 steel projects were started across China in April 2024, an increase of 40.75% from the previous month; the total investment amount was approximately 4,028.382 billion yuan, an increase of 1.34% month-on-month, and a year-on-year increase of 43.39%; the total investment amount in the first four months approximately 18.88 trillion yuan. 

Data shows that in April, four provinces including Hubei, Heilongjiang, Anhui, and Henan held provincial-level major project start activities. Among them, Hubei Province ranks first, with a total investment of 1.154278 billion yuan, and is the only province with a total investment exceeding one trillion yuan; Heilongjiang Province ranks second, with a total investment of 549.3 billion yuan; Anhui Province ranks third, with a total investment of 386.785 billion yuan.  

Specifically, on April 3, Heilongjiang Province started construction on 3,394 key projects, including 868 provincial key projects, with a total investment of 549.3 billion yuan; and on April 28, Hubei Province started construction on 2,093 projects, including Including 8 tens of billions of projects and 24 5 billion projects, with a total investment of 1.1 trillion yuan, both the number of projects and the amount of investment exceeded the same period last year.
